Rear Lights

Rear Lights

Used on VS4T & VBA1T - top lense is typically on the VS4T is orange. Cast aluminum is usually painted to match the bike color.

Used on VS5T, VNB2T, VNB3T, VNB4T, VNB5T, VBB1T, VBB2T, and VSB1T. Lense is a single piece with a removable cast aluminum cover.

Used on SS180 VSC1T and GL150 VLA1T.

Used on small frames VMA1T, V9A1T, and V5A1T.

Tail light from a Vespa VM1T. No brake light, just a running light as standard. Click image for side and bottom images.

Heads

Heads

Lambretta Li125 Special head - a more central combustion chamber than an standard Li125. Shared w/GP125 motor. Part number A-10504 is stamped on the bottom face (arrowed).

Vespa VBA head - a very domed chamber with small indentations (arrowed) to allow for the clearance with the deflector type piston. A small lip is also present.

Vespa P200 Malossi head - This head has been machined to give a good clearance between the piston and the head. The little castings on the outside of the barrel stud holes are now standard on new PX200s to stop head warping when torqued down.

Lambretta TS1 225 head - This standard 200cc head has been machined to give a better compression ratio for a kitted engine and clearance on the piston crown. Click for high resolution image.

Stators

Stators

Vespa P200E VSX1T stator: electronic with black pick up box.

Vespa 150 VBA1T stator: Points with condensor from a non-battery model. An extra coil at 10:00 o'clock is for the brake light. Click for high resolution image

Vespa 150 VBA1T stator: Points with condensor from a battery model. The stator is almost the same as the one above, but has no 4th coil as the brake light runs off the battery. Click for high resolution image

Vespa 150 Super VBC1T stator: This one was sent to me so I think it is a battery model. Click for a larger image.

Vespa Rally 200 VSE1T stator: This one is the Femsatronic version (vs. the Ducati). Click for a larger image.

Barrels

Barrels

Vespa VSX1T barrel: 66.5 mm bore, 3 ports but only one port extends to the crankcase mouth. Intake is via the crankcase so there is no visible intake port. The exhaust stub is removable and crankcase studs are not in s "square" pattern.

Vespa VBA1T barrel: 57 mm bore, 2 ports both extending to the crankcase mouth. Intake is via the crankcase so there is no visible intake port. The exhaust stub is smooth but cast with the barrel and the crankcase studs are in a square pattern.

Vespa VS51T barrel: 57 mm bore, 2 ports in a typical Lambretta layout, a three stud inlet port on the top, a threaded exhaust stub, and a spigot which does not connect at the base. Also used on VS2, VS3, & VS4.

Lambretta Li125 Special barrel: 52 mm bore, 2 ports from the crankcase mouth. Different from the standard Li125 barrel because of larger transfer openings in the barrel. A normal Li125 barrel can be identified by a an extended fin on the exhaust port side which goes beyond the rest of the rounded fins.

Vespa GTR 125 barrel: 52.5 mm bore and 3 ports from the crankcase mouth. This is basically a smaller bore version of the 150 Sprint Veloce barrel and looks like it could be bored to 57mm to accept a Sprint piston if required. Click barrel for a larger image.

Vespa Primavera barrel 55 mm bore and 2 ports from the crankcase mouth. This is basically a larger version of the Vespa 90 barrel. The later Primavera ET3 had a similar barrel with 3 transfer ports. Click barrel for a larger image.

Vespa 50 barrel Two ports from transfers in the crankcase mouth Has a thick spigot so it can bored out or easily swapped for kits up to 115cc. Thanks to Kelvin for the pictures. Click barrel for a larger image.

Vespa T5 barrel Five ports from the only true 5 transfer standard crankcase mouth. It is Nicasil lined so it can't be rebored. The thick spigot allows kits like the Malossi 172 to take advantage of a larger bore. Thanks to Stefan Onderka for the pictures. Click barrel for a larger image..

Vespa 100 Sport very similar to the Vespa Primavera barrel but it has a third port in the barrel as well as the two casing transfers. Click for a larger image.

Pistons

Pistons

Vespa VSX1T piston: 66.3 mm - 2 main transfer with a small "boost" transfer. Transfers are off axis from gudgeon pin.

Click for PDF schematic

Vespa VBA1T piston: 56.8 mm - 2 main ports and a deflector type head. Transfers are the same on both sides.

Lambretta Li125 III piston: 51.8 mm - 2 main transfers and a domed head. Transfers are different on both sides.

Vespa VSX1T Pinasco 213 kit piston: 2 large main transfers with a small "boost" transfer.

Vespa VSX1T Malossi 210 kit piston: 2 large main transfers with a 2 small "boost" transfers across from the exhaust.

Lambretta TS1 225 piston: 2 large main transfers with a 2 small "boost" transfers across from the exhaust where the reed valve intake is located.

Vespa T5 piston: 1 full cut out with 2 skirt cut aways for the 2 barrel transfers on either side. Thanks to Stefan Onderka for the picture. Click piston for larger image

Clutches

Clutches

P200E clutch: 23 tooth helical cut central gear - crank side. 7 springs around the perimeter.

Cosa clutch: 23 tooth helical cut central gear - crank side. Also available with a 21 tooth gear. 8 central springs and larger drive gear. Click here for more info...

VBA Clutch: Similar to the P200 clutch but with only 6 springs and a different drive gear.

Gears

Gears

P200E 1st gear: 57 tooth - straight cut teeth.

P200E 2nd gear: 42 tooth - straight cut teeth.

P200E 3rd gear: 38 tooth - straight cut teeth.

P200E 4th gear: 35 tooth - straight cut teeth.

Engine Casings

Engine Casings

Vespa PX150 Electric start autolube casings: Square stud pattern, three transfers, shared with PX125 range. Intake is located on the top of the crank side casting - smaller than 200cc but the casings look very similar. Transfers can be enlarged for kits

Click for high resolution image

Vespa small frame casings: Square stud pattern, two transfers, intake has two studs until the PK range. Intake is located above the swingarm on the crank side casting. Transfers are hard to enlarge for kits without welding.

Vespa 150 Super casings: Square stud pattern, two transfers, and the first autolube system. These cases are almost identical to VBB & VBA casings. A third port can be cut in the top of the casing mouth. The major difference to P series 150cc casings is the flywheel side main bearing and oil seal.
